How to activate Flash

Dualog Connection Suite Intranet pages are rendered via Adobe® Flash Player. If your computer does not have Flash Player installed then the page displayed will contain a “Get Flash” hyperlink. Clicking the hyperlink will cause Flash Player to be downloaded and installed:

In case you still get an error message stating that Flash needs to be activated or needs to run on your pc, you can try the following solutions according to the Internet browser you are using to access Dualog Connection Suite.

  1. To the left of the web address, click Lock Lock or Info Information.
  2. To the right of "Flash," click the Arrows Arrows.
  3. Choose Always allow on this site.
  4. Reload the page.

If you get an error message stating that Flash needs to be updated:

  1. In the address bar at the top, enter chrome://components and press Enter.
  2. Look for "Adobe Flash Player."
  3. Click Check for update.
  4. If you see "Component not updated" or "Component updated," you're on the latest version.
  5. Go back to the page with the Flash content. If it doesn't open automatically, at the top left, click Reload Reload.

If Firefox blocks Flash, you'll see a message prompting you to click to run the plugin.

If you click the message or the notification icon to activate the plugin, Firefox will prompt you with these options:

  • Allow: Activates Flash only for a single visit. To automatically activate Flash for all future visits to that site, check the Remember this decision checkbox.
  • Don't Allow: Dismisses the notification prompt without activating Flash.

If you click to activate and allow the plugin, the missing content will load normally. (If it doesn't, click the reload FxReloadButton button in the toolbar to reload the page and try again.)

Always activate: You can also set a plugin to always activate by entering about:addons on the address bar and setting the plugin to Always activate in its drop-down menu. The plugin will automatically run and you won't get the "Run Adobe Flash" message.

  1. Click the Tools icon in the upper-right corner of Internet Explorer. (The icon looks like a gear.)
  2. In the pop-up menu that appears, click Manage Add-ons.
  3. In the dialog box that appears, select Toolbars and Extensions.
  4. In the list of Add-ons, look for “Shockwave Flash Object” (another name for Flash Player). In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave Flash Object is Disabled. If it is disabled, click the row for Shockwave Flash Object to highlight it.

  5. In the lower-right corner of the Manage Add-ons dialog box, click Enable.

  6. Close the Manage Add-ons dialog box.
