Introduction to Dualog Endpoint

Dualog Endpoint is a multi-layered endpoint protection service with minimal network and bandwidth impact built for shipping, protecting PCs, laptops, and servers, and was developed in partnership with ESET, an award-winning security provider.

Endpoint can be configured flexibly according to your fleet structure, and is easy to roll out and install. Similar clients can be grouped and configured in bulk. For instance, you can deploy separate configurations for all bridge PCs and Captain PCs.

Endpoint makes use of over-the-air updates and smart caching technology to save bandwidth. On any given vessel, a specific client can be set as the caching client so that it downloads any updates before locally distributing them to the rest of the clients on the same vessel. The caching client can be changed to avoid single point of failure situation.

Endpoint also allows for seamless remote management of clients on the fleet from the Dualog Apps Portal. For instance, you can scan computers and clean threats, reboot computers, trigger unattended Windows updates, isolate computers from networks, and more.

Endpoint serves as a hardware and software inventory for your fleet, with hardware and software information of all Endpoint clients available on the Dualog Apps Portal, with these information available for export in the form of reports. You can also remotely uninstall software from the same portal.

In the following lessons, you will learn how to manage and configure the Endpoint service.

Before we get started, make sure that you have Endpoint installed on your selected devices. A full guide on installing Endpoint can be found here:
