INTRODUCTION
Your Dualog account gives you access to various work-related applications and services, both onshore and onboard vessels. This guide explains how to log in, manage your password, and keep your account secure.
LOGGING IN
Cloud Applications
To access cloud-based applications:
- Navigate to the application you want to use
- You will be redirected to the Dualog login page
- Enter your email address (your Dualog username)
- Enter your password
- If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enabled, complete the verification
- You will be redirected back to the application
Ship-Side Applications
When onboard a vessel, to access ship-based applications:
- Open the application on the ship's network
- You will see a login page
- Enter your email address and password
- Complete any additional verification if required
- You will be logged into the application
Note: You can only access ship-side applications on vessels you are currently signed onto.
FIRST-TIME LOGIN
If You Received an Activation Link
- Click the activation link provided by your administrator
- You will be logged in automatically
- You will be prompted to set a new password
- Choose a password that meets your company's requirements
- If MFA is required, you will be prompted to set it up
If You Have Default Credentials
- Log in using your email address as both username and password
- You will be prompted to change your password immediately
- Choose a new password that meets your company's requirements
- If MFA is required, you will be prompted to set it up
MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can manage your account settings at https://crew.dualog.com
Changing Your Password
- Go to
https://crew.dualog.com - Log in if you haven't already
- Go to Settings > Security > Change password
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password (must meet your company's requirements)
- Confirm your new password
- Click Save or Change Password
Password Requirements
Your company may require passwords to:
- Be a minimum length (usually 8 or more characters)
- Include uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Include numbers (0-9)
- Include special characters ($, #, %, etc.)
You will see the specific requirements when setting or changing your password.
MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (MFA)
MFA provides extra security by requiring a second form of verification beyond your password.
Available MFA Methods

Setting Up MFA
If your organization requires MFA, you'll be prompted to set it up on first login:
- Choose your preferred MFA method
- Follow the setup instructions for that method:
For SMS or WhatsApp:
- Enter your phone number
- Receive a verification code
- Enter the code to confirm
For Authenticator App:
- Download an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.)
- Scan the QR code shown on screen
- Enter the code from your app to confirm
Using MFA to Log In
- Enter your email and password as usual
- When prompted, provide your second factor:
- SMS/WhatsApp: Enter the code sent to your phone
- Authenticator App: Open the app and enter the current code
- Click Verify or Submit
- You will be logged in
Managing MFA Settings
To change your MFA method:
- Go to
https://crew.dualog.com - Go to Settings > Security > Authenticator App
- You can:
- Change your MFA method
- Re-configure your authenticator app
VIEWING YOUR DEVICES
You can see which devices are signed into your account:
- Go to
https://crew.dualog.com - Go to Settings > Security > Devices
- You will see a list of your active sessions showing:
- Device type
- Location
- Last activity
- IP address
Signing Out Remotely
If you see a device you don't recognize or want to sign out:
- Find the device in your list
- Click Sign Out or Revoke for that device
- The session will be ended immediately
Security Tip: If you see unfamiliar devices, change your password immediately and contact your IT administrator.
FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD
Self-Service Reset (if enabled)
If your company has enabled self-service password reset:
- On the login page, click Trouble signing in?
- Enter your email address
- Choose your reset method:
- SMS: Receive a code on your phone
- Personal Email: Receive a code on your personal email
- Enter the verification code
- Create a new password
- Log in with your new password
Note: Self-service reset requires having a phone number or personal email registered to your account.
Contact Your Administrator
If self-service reset is not available or not working:
- Contact your company's IT helpdesk or administrator
- They can reset your password or generate a new activation link
- Once reset, log in and set a new password
FORGOT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
If you've forgotten which email address you use for Dualog:
Email Reminder (if enabled)
- On the login page, click Trouble signing in?
- When asked for your email, click Forgot your email address?
- Enter your phone number or personal email address
- If it matches our records, your Dualog email address will be sent to you
Note: If email reminder is not enabled for your organization, you will see a message directing you to contact your company.
Contact Your Administrator
If email reminder is not available:
- Contact your company's IT helpdesk or administrator
- They can look up your account and provide your email address
TROUBLESHOOTING
Cannot Log In
Check your credentials:
- Verify you're using the correct email address
- Check caps lock is not on
- Try resetting your password
Account issues:
- Your account may be disabled - contact your administrator
- You may not be assigned to the current vessel (for ship-side access)
- Your contract dates may have expired
MFA Code Not Working
For SMS/WhatsApp:
- Ensure your phone number is correct
- Check your phone has signal/data
- Wait for the code (may take a minute)
- Request a new code if the first doesn't arrive
For Authenticator App:
- Ensure your phone's time is set correctly (codes are time-based)
- Use the most recent code (they change every 30 seconds)
- If still not working, contact your administrator to reset MFA
KEEPING YOUR ACCOUNT SECURE
- Never share your password with anyone
- Use a unique password that you don't use elsewhere
- Enable MFA if it's optional for extra security
- Sign out when using shared computers
- Review your devices regularly and revoke unknown sessions
- Report suspicious activity to your administrator immediately
GETTING HELP
If you need assistance with your Dualog account:
- Contact your company's IT helpdesk first
- They can assist with most account issues
- For technical problems, they can escalate to Dualog support
