INTRODUCTION

When installing ESET Endpoint on a x86 or 32-bit Windows machine, you may encounter error code MSI.1404. According to ESET's system requirements, this error typically occurs due to a missing software dependency.

STEPS

1. Begin by uninstalling any existing ESET endpoint software from your system.
2. Log in to the system as a local Windows administrator. Then, proceed to install the following Windows updates:

   • KB4490628
