INTRODUCTION
In the scenario of replacing or migrating a Dualog server, it's crucial to restore emails on the newly installed Dualog server.
This document provides guidance on performing an IMAP restore for both ship Connection Suite versions 3.0 and 3.10.
PREREQUISITE
Before proceeding with the IMAP restore, ensure you have a valid IMAP backup. This includes, at minimum, the following files:
imapmailstore.dualogbackup.archive
imapmailstore.dualogbackup0
If the backup size exceeds several gigabytes, additional files may be present. Below is an example of a typical IMAP backup of considerable size:
IMAP BACKUP RESTORE (CONNECTION SUITE VER 3.10)
- Login to Dualog Connection Suite
- Click on the menu located on the top left corner > Admin Panel > IMAP Backup > Restore Backup
- Specify the full directory where the above files are stored, specifically the .archive file (Example: C:\backup\imapmailstore.dualogbackup.archive)
- Select the available backup option or specify the full directory manually > Restore Backup
- The IMAP service will proceed with the unpacking and restoring in the background, where the progress will be reflected as well.
IMAP BACKUP RESTORE (CONNECTION SUITE VER 3.0)
- Login to Dualog Connection Suite
- Click on the menu located on the top left corner > Technical Setup > IMAP Backup > Restore Backup
- Specify the full directory where the above files are stored, specifically the .archive file (Example: C:\backup\imapmailstore.dualogbackup.archive)
- After the full backup directory has been specified, click on "Restore Backup" to start restoring the IMAP backup.
- The IMAP service will proceed with the unpacking and restoring in the background. During this procedure, the email messages will gradually start appearing on the Dualog Webmail (this may take a while, even hours, according to how big the IMAP backup is).
