INTRODUCTION
If a crew member on board forgets the password for either their Dualog personal or business user account, he or she may submit a password reset request on board and seek Master approval.
It is important to note that the necessary write privileges have to be assigned to the appropriate account.
PROCEDURE FOR CREWS
- Click on Forgot password.
- Enter the required email address
- Click on Request Password Reset
- The password reset request will be sent to any account with the authority to approve it, which is usually the Master account or the vessel's main account onboard.
APPROVAL PROCEDURE (FOR CAPTAINS)
- Log in to Dualog Connection Suite on the vessel; using an account with privileges to grant the password reset request.
- Make sure you are on the Overview Page
- There should be a field stating X User has requested a password change
- To go to Password Resets page, you can click on the field directly
- Alternatively, select Password Resets from the hamburger menu ( in the top left corner )
- This will open the Password Resets page. Any pending password reset request are listed here
- Click on Approve or Reject per account as needed.
- If you click to approve, a confirmation message will be prompted
- Click on Reset Password to allow the reset action to proceed.
APPROVAL PROCEDURE (FOR CAPTAIN)

Once the password reset request is approved, a temporary password will be set for the account. The password is the same as the email address of the account.
For example:User: crew.generic@dualog.net,
Password: crew.generic@dualog.net
- The crew will be required to change their password upon initial login.
