Dualog Drive - Create Move Task

To create a move task, you must first navigate to the Dualog Drive configuration screen. To get there, open up the left-hand side menu, click on Drive, then click on Configurations, and finally click on the Create Drive Task button.

When making a new move task there are two types of move tasks; Single ship, or Multiple Ships.

Single ship Move Task

  1. For Task type, select Move.
  2. Pick the direction which corresponds with how you want to send your data.
  3. Pick Single Ship for the Ships option.
  4. Click on Create Task.

This then takes you to the task information screen where you can configure settings such as:

  • The source office or ship,
  • The path on the source vessel or office
  • Advanced source options
  • Destination vessel or office
  • Path on the destination vessel or office
  • How existing files are handled
  • Bandwidth control to restrict which bearers data is transferred over
  • Push notifications for destination user
  • The name for the Move Task

Multiple Ship Move Task

  1. For Task type, select Move.
  2. Pick the direction which corresponds with how you want to send your data.
  3. Pick Multiple Ships for the Ships option.
  4. Choose between individual folders or same folder.
Individual folders means that every ship will have their own folder in the source directory.
Same folder means that the same folder will be shared to multiple vessels.
  5. Click on Create Task.

This then takes you to the task information screen where you can configure settings such as:

  • The source office or ship,
  • The path on the source vessel or office*
  • Advanced source options
  • Destination vessel or office
  • Path on the destination vessel or office*
  • How existing files are handled
  • Bandwidth control to restrict which bearers data is transferred over
  • Push notifications for destination user
  • The name for the Move Task

Note - Dynamic folders will be enabled for either the source or destination if you have selected Individual folders in step 4 above). Dynamic folders are driven by Ship Code Lists which you can read about in the Dualog Drive - Ship Codes KB Article.
