INTRODUCTION
In certain instances, extended usage of the Dualog environment on the server may result in excessive disk space consumption. This article provides guidance on identifying and removing unnecessary files to reclaim storage capacity.
Additionally, a simple script is provided at the end of this document to automate the process of freeing up space on the main Hard Disk.
PROCEDURES
- Save the attached file to desktop and rename it as a batch file (eg. cleanup.bat)
- Click on the Start button in Windows, then select Programs or All Programs on the menu that appears, then Dualog, then Connection suite, then Support.
- Click on 'Stop Connection Suite services' and wait for tasks to finish. (You will see 'Press any key to continue' once task has finished).
- Click on the Start button in Windows, then on Programs or All Programs, then Oracle Database 10G or 11G, then Stop Database. Wait for the task to complete.
- Now right click on the script file you preemptively renamed and select 'run as administrator'. Wait for the task to complete.
- Click on the Start button in Windows, then on Programs or All Programs, then Oracle Database 10G or 11G, then Start Database.
- Click on the Start button in Windows, then select Programs or All Programs on the menu that appears, then Dualog, then Connection suite, then Support, then Start Connection Suite services.
- If the above does not free up enough disk space, please proceed with the following manual deletion procedure.
ADDITIONAL CHECKS AND DELETIONS
The following files/folders are safe to be manually deleted.

If the above does not free up enough disk space please check if c:\dualog\mail store is taking up most of the disk space. This folder contains IMAP emails utilized by your users and cannot be deleted. Under such circumstances, please consider upgrading to a larger disk.
