Dualog Portal - Connection Suite Vessel Creation

INTRODUCTION

A vessel must first be created on the Dualog apps portal within the organization itself before any of the Dualog services can be activated and used onboard.

Every configuration needed for each service to work effectively is included on a vessel.

A step-by-step guide for creating a vessel from scratch, whether as a new setup or a copy of an existing setup, is provided below.

It should be noted that before a vessel can be created, a Dualog Apps account must first be created, then an organization.

NEW SETUP

1. Under Dualog Portal, go to Organization
2. Under Ships > click on "Add ship"
3. Select "New Setup" > Click on "Continue" to start the setup
4. Fill in the relevant fields > Add ship
5. Send an email to support@dualog.com and provide the following information:
   • Email Subject: New Vessel - [Vessel Name]
   • Company Name
   • Name(s) of the Subscribed Dualog service(s)
6. You may now proceed to create or configure the required services under the sub-menu

COPY SETUP

1. Under Dualog Portal, go to Organization
2. Under Ships > click on "Add ship"
3. Select "Copy Setup" > Click on "Continue" to start the setup
4. Choose from the drop-down menu which existing ship the new vessel should be based after.
5. Indicate the new ship name > Click on "Continue"
6. Input the common parameter and replace it with a unique parameter (Note that direct manual amendment to the new account name is possible as well) > Continue
7. Input the common parameter and replace it with a unique parameter (Note that direct manual amendment to the new email address is possible as well) > Continue
8. Existing aliases will be detected and can be amended here > Continue
9. Assign a ship group if any > Continue
10. Verify all configurations (Click on Back to return to any steps of the setup for further amendments if necessary) > Add ship to finalize the vessel creation
11. Send an email to support@dualog.com and provide the following information:
    • Email Subject: New Vessel - [Vessel Name]
    • Company Name
    • Name(s) of the Subscribed Dualog service(s)
12. You may now proceed to verify or amend the required services under the sub-menu
