Dualog Portal - How to create and edit comm. equipment

INTRODUCTION

In the common events of new carrier deployment, replacement of existing carrier, re-configuration of carrier's IP settings, and so on, this feature allows users to create new or edit existing communication equipment.

A working comm. equipment is required to establish cloud connections for email exchanges. 

This article will walk you through the process of creating new and editing existing comm. equipment through the Dualog Apps portal.

NEW COMM. EQUIPMENT CREATION

  1. Login to the Dualog Portal with an account with the appropriate access type.
  2. Click on the menu located in the top-left corner >Connection Suite > CS Ship Setup
  3. Select a ship
  4. Under the Communication tab > click on Add equipment.
  5. Select and fill in the necessary fields
  6. Save and closetest2.gif
  7. The newly-created equipment is now reflected in the overview of Communication Equipment.

EDITING EXISTING COMM. EQUIPMENT

  1. Login to the Dualog Portal with an account with the appropriate access type.
  2. Click on the menu located in the top-left corner >Connection Suite > CS Ship Setup
  3. Select a ship
  4. Under the Communication tab, click on the existing comm. equipment > edit comm. equipment
  5. The following fields can now be edited:
    • Equipment Name
    • Status (To disable or re-enable a comm. equipment)
    • Equipment IP
    • Dualog Gateway Address
    • Advanced Equipment settings
  6. Save and closetest.gif
