Dualog Portal - How to create and edit comm. equipment

Introduction

This guide covers how to create, edit and delete communication equipment in the Dualog Apps portal.

 

Requirements

A working comm. equipment is required to establish cloud connections. 

 

New Comm Equipment Creation

  1. Login to the Dualog Portal with an account with the appropriate access type.
  2. Click on the menu located in the top-left corner >Connection Suite > CS Ship Setup
  3. Select a ship
  4. Under the Communication tab > click on Add equipment.
  5. Select and fill in the necessary fields
  6. Save and closetest2.gif
  7. The newly-created equipment is now reflected in the overview of Communication Equipment.

EDITING EXISTING COMM. EQUIPMENT

  1. Login to the Dualog Portal with an account with the appropriate access type. 
  2. Click on the menu located in the top-left corner >Connection Suite > CS Ship Setup 
  3. Select a ship
  4. Under the Communication tab, click on the existing comm. equipment > edit comm. equipment
  5. The following fields can be edited:
    • Equipment Name - A unique name that you will use that helps to visually identify the type of communications equipment.
    • Status  - Disables or enables a comm. equipment
    • Equipment IP - IP address used to direct network traffic to for this communication equipment.
    • Dualog Gateway Address - Address and port that this equipment will use to connect to the Dualog Cloud.
    • Advanced Equipment settings - Advanced settings. Generally speaking, most modern equipment does not require these to be configured and these can be left as defaults.
  6. Save and close
